The National Redress Scheme

The President of the Uniting Church in Australia Stuart MacMillan announced on 4 June 2018, that the Uniting Church in Australia will opt in to the Federal Government's National Redress Scheme for people who have experienced institutional child sexual abuse.
The Church has expressed its support for a truly independent national redress scheme, which provides justice, certainty, equity, transparency and consistency in redress for all survivors.
